Resize Image
Change the size of JPG, PNG and WebP images by pixels or percent. Free, no sign-up, and your images never leave your device.
How to resize an image
- Click the box above, or drag your images into it.
- Type a new width or height in pixels, or switch to "As a percentage".
- Download each image, or use the ZIP button to get them all at once. If you change a setting, the images are redone automatically.
Which size should I choose?
For a website or an email, a width of 1200 to 1920 pixels is plenty for most photos. For a profile picture or a thumbnail, a few hundred pixels is enough. If a form asks for an exact size such as 600 x 600, turn off "Keep proportions" and enter both numbers. Making a picture smaller also makes the file smaller.
Questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The resizing happens inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your images are never sent to our server or to anyone else.
Will the picture look stretched?
Not as long as "Keep proportions" is on. The tool then changes the other side by itself. If you turn it off and enter a width and height with a different shape, the picture is stretched on purpose to fit.
Can I make a picture bigger?
Yes, but the picture does not gain detail. Enlarging makes it look soft or blurry, so it is best to start from the biggest original you have.
Is camera information such as location kept?
No. Details such as the camera model and GPS location are not copied to the resized file. Phone photos that are stored sideways are turned the right way up.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like and download them one by one or as a single ZIP file. The same settings are used for every image. Very large batches may be slow on older phones, so split them if the page becomes sluggish.
